PAST EVENTS:

“I see and feel bossa nova as the soundscape of the sea! It is the music which speaks of love, longing, and youth. The  music which, on the one hand, represents the relaxed atmosphere of the ‘Brazlian way of life’, and, on the other hand, the music of the people through which the artists expressed political statements, talked about people’s struggles, and will for freedom. In any case bossa nova’s connection with the people, the Brazilian nature, and land give to it its strong and identical character. For me, bossa nova is also a reflection of my land, Cyprus, where the sea, the sound of waves hitting the rocks, the golden sand, and the relaxed rhythms of life, are the elements that form a similar soundscape to the one that inspired Jobim to write the most memorable bossa nova music!”- Andria Antoniou e-flyer Brazilian project- Every Tuesday-page-001
